Students Earn Seal of Biliteracy Designation

At the April 29 Board of Education meeting, Mr. Clancy, Superintendent, was proud to recognize the inaugural group of students earning the Seal of Biliteracy designation on their diploma. Ms. Michelle Gabree-Huba, Assistant Superintendent of Instruction and Technology, explained that recipients were required to demonstrate a high level of proficiency and cultural knowledge in English and one additional language through advanced coursework, projects and a presentation before judges. Those awarded include Grace and Gretchen Grimm, Clara Kelly, Mia Le, Olena Lishchuk, Olivia Pasiak, Bianca Sepiola, Eva Stone and Maren Wohnsen. Students were presented with a certificate.
