Staff Opening Day 2025

On September 2, teachers across Clinton Central School District came together during Superintendent’s Conference Days to deepen their learning and planning around community circles!

Community circles are structured, student-centered conversations that bring the class together in a supportive and respectful space. They help strengthen relationships, build trust, and create opportunities for every student to share their voice. By fostering belonging and connection, circles give students the chance to engage meaningfully with their peers and teachers while developing skills such as active listening, empathy and collaboration.

This work directly supports our Portrait of a Graduate by helping students grow as effective communicators, socially and emotionally competent individuals and compassionate global citizens.

As teachers plan to implement community circles in their classrooms, they are creating environments where students not only learn content but also practice the essential skills and dispositions they will carry into the future.
