Clinton Elementary Fun Day and Kids Heart Challenge

On June 26, the Clinton Elementary School wrapped up the year with an unforgettable Fun Day filled with laughter, activities and a celebration of heart and health. The day began by recognizing the incredible success of the Kids Heart Challenge, a beloved tradition at Clinton Elementary for the past 23 years. The Kids Heart Challenge, sponsored by the American Heart Association, encourages students to prioritize their heart health while raising awareness and funds for a great cause. As part of Finn’s Mission, many students and their families learned about Hands-Only CPR and the warning signs of a stroke—knowledge that could one day save a life.

Thanks to the dedication and generosity of the Clinton community, this year’s campaign raised a remarkable $14,736.27! To celebrate hitting the school’s fundraising goal, some brave staff members took on hilarious dares: Mrs. Landry ate some seasoned bugs, Mrs. Alt got a pie to the face, and Mr. Waskiewicz had spaghetti and meatballs dumped over his head!

Following the celebration, students participated in Fun Day activities tailored to their grade levels. Primary students enjoyed splish splash relay races, chalk mural drawings, and parachute games. Third through fifth grade students got their energy out with activities like gaga ball, castle ball, and cooled off with huge slip and slides.

It was a perfect blend of fun, fitness and heartwarming community spirit and showcased the best of Clinton Elementary School. Congratulations and thank you to everyone who participated and supported the Kids Heart Challenge this year!
