Clinton CSD Celebrates Jim Scoones for 40 Years of Service

As he prepares to retire after four decades with the Clinton Central School District, Building Maintenance Mechanic Jim Scoones said that “the contact with the people” is what he will miss most.
To celebrate his 40 years of service, the District surprised Scoones with a heartfelt sendoff on June 16. Nearly 1,000 students from all grade levels, along with faculty, staff and administrators, lined the sidewalk between school buildings to cheer and applaud as he arrived for a surprise retirement celebration.
The celebration continued with a special ceremony attended by Village of Clinton Major Elizabeth Tantillo and the Clinton Chamber Singers. Superintendent of Schools Christopher Clancy escorted Scoones to the ceremony in a golf cart with a Clinton Fire Department truck following close behind with lights and sirens.
The Clinton Central School District extends its sincere gratitude to Jim Scoones for his 40 years of dedicated service to the District. Congratulations on a well-deserved retirement!
