With a career in education that began in 1996, Mrs. Gabree-Huba has many years of experience in both teaching and district administration. She most recently served as academic administrator at Shenendehowa Central School District, a role she has held since 2017.
“The [Clinton Central School District’s] commitment to academic excellence, innovative instructional practices and technology integration aligns closely with my own professional values and aspirations,” said Mrs. Gabree-Huba. “I am excited to collaborate with the talented educators, administrators and support staff at Clinton Central School District to continue advancing the quality of education and enhancing the learning experiences for all students.”
Mrs. Gabree-Huba’s previous roles also include principal of Pleasant Ave. Elementary School in the Greater Johnstown School District, a teacher and instructional coach at Draper Middle School in the Mohanasen Central School District, a teacher at Philip Schuyler Elementary School in the Albany City School District and a teacher and technology coordinator at St. Paul the Apostle School in Schenectady.
Mrs. Gabree-Huba earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from the College of St. Rose and her Master of Science Degree in Curriculum Development and Instructional Technology from the University at Albany. She completed the Aspiring Superintendents Workshop Series from Magnum Trainings and earned the Certificate in Educational Administration from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. She also holds professional certificates in New York State as a School District Leader and School Building Leader, and she holds permanent certificates as a pre-K, kindergarten and grades 1-6 teacher, and biology and general science for grades 7-12.
"Michelle is going to be a fantastic addition to our district,” said Superintendent of Schools Mr. Christopher Clancy. “Throughout the interview process, her knowledge, vision and experiences at the district level helped us to see that she is the right person to help guide our instructional and technology programs and move our district forward. I am thrilled that she will be joining us as our new assistant superintendent."
“In the coming weeks, I will be diligently preparing for my transition and familiarizing myself with the district's goals, priorities and initiatives,” said Mrs. Gabree-Huba. “I am committed to listening, learning and collaborating with all stakeholders to build upon the district's successes and to identify new opportunities for growth and improvement.”
