Public Hearings regarding Districtwide Safety Plan and Special Patrol Officer Contract

School Districts must hold a Public Hearing to Reveive Stakeholder Input - The law requires SPO contracts be developed with the input of “stakeholders.”  “Stakeholders” are defined to include (but are not limited to) “parents, students, school administrators, teachers, collective bargaining units, parent and student organizations and community members, as well as probation officers, prosecutors, defense counsels and courts that are familiar with school discipline.”

In addition, Districtwide Safety Plans also require a Public Hearing.

Both hearings will take place during the school board meeting on November 16, 2021 at approximately 7:00pm.
