Degrees and Certifications:

Reanna Zappavigna

Welcome! My name is Reanna Zappavigna and I am one of the Middle School Physical Education teachers. I grew up in Rome, NY and love everything the Mohawk Valley community has to offer. I am a proud SUNY Cortland alumni. I earned both my Bachelor degree in Physical Education and a Master degree in Teaching Students with Disabilities at SUNY Cortland. This year I will also be coaching modified field hockey. Some of my interests and hobbies outside of school are hiking, camping, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, kayaking, field hockey, and staying active. I also like to travel and have been to eight National Parks. During the summer I teach college students at SUNY Cortland's camp in Raquette Lake, NY, where the students take a two-week course on outdoor adventure education and go backpacking. I also enjoy providing music for the Boilermaker Kids Run and running in the 15k each summer. I am excited for a great 2019-2020 school year!

While we are out of school during the Coronavirus 2020 pandemic I have created a one stop shop filled with ideas on how to stay active while at home. Click on the following link to bring you to the website- PE at Home. There are ideas for quick breaks, 30 minute activites, outdoor activities, scavenger hunts, sport-specific activities, and much more!
