Ms. Kimberly Broderick
I am looking forward to my second year teaching at the Clinton Central School District! After high-school I attended SUNY Oneonta where I received my undergraduate degree in childhood education; I then attended the College of St. Rose where I completed my MS. Ed. in Students with Disabilities. I recently moved from the Albany area where I taught at the high-school level in a special education classroom for the past six years. Here at Clinton, I will be teaching in the learning center for grades 6-8.
The learning center will be a class where students will focus on developing a variety of skills that will enhance their learning in each subject. Students will learn and practice strategies that will allow them to be more confident about their work and school.
I believe that intelligence is constantly changing based on effort, persistence, and motivation. When students enter my classroom I want them to enjoy what they are learning, not be afraid of making mistakes, ask questions, gain confidence in their skills, and improve their learning strategies. Parent and teacher communication is also key to your students’ success, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Outside of my classroom, I enjoy to run (I have finished in four marathons), cheer for the NY Giants, play with the most adorable cat ever (my cat Tuna), learn and play new games (board games and videogames), and spend time with family and friends.
I love my teaching career being a part of each student’s educational journey here at Clinton!
