Response to Intervention Teacher for Reading
Grades 3, 4, and 5
Classroom teacher in Clinton School District since 2008
I have held several different teaching positions throughout my years in the Clinton School District. I started out as a Special Education Teacher for a Self-Contained Classroom serving students with disabilities in grades Kindergarten through second grade. I also taught third grade regular education for several years. Now I currently teach reading to students in need of extra reading interventions in the intermediate grades.
As the RtI teacher for reading I work with small groups of students on their reading fluency and comprehension. Students that work with me will learn strategies to help them become better readers. They will also work on increasing their vocabulary and gaining more English Language Arts skills. My classroom is located on the second level of the school, room 200.
I will also push-in to the children's regular classrooms to support them and their teachers during ELA instructional time.
Students that regularly attend RtI classes with me will have reports sent home to their parents about their progress during report card times.
Please feel free to contact me through e-mail or phone anytime you have questions or concerns.
