Bus Loop Drop-Off & Pick-Up

The District Bus Loop is a one-way traffic loop that starts in front of the Elementary School (by Agway) and exits in front of the Middle School (by Dollar General). This area was designed to serve as a safe space for our buses to park and drop off and pick up students. The bus loop also serves as a parking lot for our staff and visitors to our school buildings. Unfortunately, safety in the bus loop becomes jeopardized when school buses, staff vehicles, and parent vehicles are all simultaneously competing for the same space. In order to address this concern, we are asking for your support and cooperation with the following: 

• The District Bus Loop will be closed for parent/family vehicles for student drop off from 7:30am-7:45am each day to allow for buses to enter the loop and for our students to exit school buses safely. Staff vehicles with CCS parking passes will be permitted to enter the bus loop during this time in order to park. 
• The District Bus Loop will reopen each day at 7:45am for Middle and High School families who are dropping off or picking up their children after 7:45am. Please continue to use the Middle/High School Attendance Office as the point of drop off and pick up.
• Elementary families who are dropping off their children for band, chorus, or orchestra rehearsal before school should continue to use the District Bus Loop after 7:45 am. 
• Please do not stop and drop off students on Chenango Avenue. This road is a main thoroughfare and is not safely designed to be a student drop off point. Instead, please use designated areas for each building.
