Your school will have a distribution process for Chromebooks. This might involve picking up your device at the beginning of the school year or during a designated distribution event. Be sure to follow the instructions provided by your school administration.

At the center of this 1:1 program is our belief that the Chromebook we are providing to students is an essential school supply. While at one point in history devices were a novelty, they have grown to become an essential part of our instructional program. As a school supply, we think that it is important for students to have regular, meaningful access to these devices and equally important that we provide the devices to them - just like we would provide paint for an art class or lab materials to a science class. Students won't be using the devices all the time every day, but they should have ready access to them at school and at home.

Since we are now providing school-managed devices to all of our students, we are no longer allowing students to bring their personal devices to school. This is rooted in several important considerations. First, in providing school-owned devices for educational purposes we can better  manage the type of content and applications students have access to. This ensures that students are exposed to appropriate and relevant materials that support their learning  objectives. It is our priority to create a focused and productive learning environment. By maintaining a consistent policy and managing device usage we help eliminate potential distractions and ensure students are engaged in their lessons without unnecessary disruptions.

Yes, students in Grades 6-12 students are allowed to take their Chromebooks home to continue learning and complete assignments. Make sure to follow your school's guidelines and take good care of the device.

You'll need your school-issued email and password to log in. This information is provided by your school. Once logged in, your personalized settings and apps will be available.

You will use your school-issued Google account. This account is managed by the school and is set up for educational purposes. Personal Google accounts should be saved for personal devices.

If you encounter technical issues, reach out to the Student/Parent Work Order System. They district can provide assistance for problems like software glitches, connectivity issues, or hardware malfunctions. Do not have Chromebooks repaired by providers outside the district.

Certain educational apps and extensions may be permitted, while others may have restrictions. Always follow your school's guidelines for app installations.

Your work is automatically saved to your Google Drive when you're connected to the internet. You can also work offline, and the changes will sync once you're online again.

Printing will not be enabled on Chromebooks. In the event you need to print something school work related,  check with your teachers for permission and to understand the printing process through the library media center.

Your school-issued Chromebook is subject to the school's internet safety and usage policies. Be cautious about the websites you visit, and remember that your activity on the device might be monitored for educational purposes.

Please be sure to bring your Chromebook to school everyday. A limited number of short term/daily loaners are available in the MS/HS Library. Repeatedly leaving the device at home could lead to consequences for the student.

Handle your Chromebook with care, keep it clean, and avoid eating or drinking near it. Close the lid gently, and store it in a safe place when not in use. If you notice any physical issues, report them to the school.
