• LEAP stands for Leaders for Environmental Awareness & Protection.  If you'd like to work with a group to make environmentally friendly changes at our school, this group is for you.  We meet bi-weekly to discuss projects, educational campaigns, fun activities, and just to spend time with others who care as much about the environment as we do!

What would you like to do to support our environment?

  • The Wild Center in Tupper Lake, NY, has hosted an annual event called the Adirondack Youth Climate Summit since 2009.  A small group of students attended this Summit in 2013, 2014, and 2015.  At the summit, students attended lectures, presentations and workshops to learn how to develop a Climate Action Program for our school.  A Climate Action Program can be any clearly articulated plan to develop awareness about climate change, promote behaviors that mitigate or adapt to climate change, and/or develop programs and activities in the school to reduce our carbon footprint.
