WASHINGTON SQUARE
A true Clinton tradition,; CCS’s famous art show is held in May and celebrates a successful end of the school year and a wonderful opportunity to showcase the original art works created by our district’s students !

Named after the famous public art exhibition held by New York City artists in Washington Square Park in lower Manhattan, the difference with our CCS show is that our evening night’s Opening Reception features many of our CCS artists actually demonstrating their art making skills and abilities.
What is especially unique to the CCS Washington Square compared to most school art exhibits is that every young artist at CCS is represented. This reflects the philosophy of the CCS Art Department that art is for EVERY child and young adult, As a matter of fact, students at the high school level will hang a number of their works in what becomes a series of mini one-man art shows!

WASHINGTON SQUARE is also a great opportunity for parents and the public to view some of our K-12 students award winning art works from the many art shows and competitions they participate in.
