PTA REFLECTIONS
Started in 1969 by the National PTA to encourage creativity and
art exploration by America’s children and young adults,
their Arts Reflection program features a new theme each year that
students in grades K through 12 may interpret through the arts.
Forms are distributed in early Fall by our local Clinton PTA.
Students are encouraged to enter in as many of the four arts categories
as they wish: visual arts, photography, literature, and music.
Student works are due in December when they are judged and four
works from each arts category are chosen to move on to the regional,
Leatherstocking PTA level. There, the works are judged against
works from other regional school districts with four works chosen
to advance to the state level. CCS has traditionally done quite
well in the PTA Reflection Arts program and has even had several
national winners !
This is a great opportunity to engage in creative work as students
interpret the annual theme in a personal way.
