The NCAA encourages students to apply electronically at www.ncaaclearinghouse.net . Students are reminded to complete the application and include their PIN. There is a school form that students must complete and print (two copies) for the Guidance Office. We will forward the official transcript along with the printed form to the clearinghouse upon the student’s graduation. Candidates will not receive a final decision until after the NCAA reviews the final transcript. Students are encouraged to check their status in late July to confirm eligibility. ![]()
Many private colleges use the Common Application for admission. This application allows you to fill out your basic information once and make copies to send to the colleges/universities you choose from the school list. Many of these colleges do have a brief supplement of their own that must also be completed. (It is important to note that some colleges may waive their application fee when the online version is used)
The American College Test is a standardized test that assessess English, mathematics, reading, and science. Unlike the SATs, the ACTs have an optional writing section. (Many colleges will accept this test as an alternative to the SATs.)
Students intending to play Division I or II sports need to register with the NCAA Clearinghouse. The NCAA has a formula based on grading information and standardized test scores to determine eligibility. The earliest students can apply is the August before their senior year; however, most students apply in the fall of senior year.
