P.L.A.Y. at Clinton

(P.L.A.Y. stands for: Physical Lifelong Activities for Youth)

Description – this program is for students in grades 9-12.  It is an eight week program, meeting three times a week, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 2:30pm.  The students will engage in a wide range of activities that will be progressive for the enhancement of their fitness levels.  A pre and post fitness assessment will be conducted and goals will be made.  We will use pedometers, heart rate monitors and a variety of other tools for assessment.  Nutrition will be implemented.  This program is designed more for the students who are in need of activity but it does not eliminate students who may want to join their friend and/or enhance their own fitness level.  There will be incentives for goals that are attained.  Most importantly, this program will be confidential so the students are not embarrassed or intimated by others.  There is no charge for this program.  Academics come first.
