PAPE (Parents As Partners of Exercise)
In
conjunction with the new state-mandated Local Wellness Policy
implementation, we are beginning a new physical education
initiative in collaboration with the fitness center. One of the
programs called PAPE
(Parents As Partners of
Exercise) will give you and your parent(s)/guardian(s)
more of an opportunity to exercise together and log the activity
that you complete.
The fitness
center will be inviting students in grades 6-12 and their
parent/guardian to utilize the fitness center at NO COST for two
weeks in November and two weeks in March. Your parent/guardian will
be
introduced to the equipment and given some suggestions on how to
improve their healthy lifestyle. And if your parent/guardian
decides to join the fitness center after the PAPE program, we
will give them three months for the cost of two. You can find
out more information, such as community hours, membership dues
etc. at our web site – ccs.edu (click on fitness center).
We encourage you and your child(ren) to take advantage of
all the opportunities that we will present over the course of the
year, in addition to the fitness activities that you may already
engage in with your family.
Thank you in advance for your support in helping us create a
healthy lifestyle for your child(ren).
Yours in good
health,
Christina
